The most popular type of deception, which is faced not only by visitors, but also by local residents. Its essence is very simple. Instead of driving the right way to the place indicated by the passenger, the taxi driver will take him on the longest road or just start rolling in circles.

A taxi driver will certainly use various excuses for passenger requests to turn on the meter, because it does not allow to increase the price of a trip several times.

Fake cops

This type of divorce is common in cities with a large number of residents. A casual passerby offers the tourist to do something illegal. During the conversation, fake cops came up to them. They catch the traveler directly at the crime scene and indict the violation of the law. To avoid arrest, law enforcement officers offer to pay a large fine.

Dynamo at the bar

Men are chosen for this type of deception. A nice young girl is coming to the tourist. They offers him a drink in some bar and get to know each other better. By the time the order is paid, the girl suddenly disappears. During familiarization with the account, the deceived traveler will notice several positions not ordered by him for a huge amount.

The girl is not always the fraudster. Lure money from a tourist can also be a man who, by kindness, decides to tell the visitor about his beloved city and interesting places that are worth visiting.

Beggars and beggars

It’s no secret that begging like a beggar is a carefully thought-out business. Both young children and people of advanced age actively work in it. For them come up with a variety of legends that help pity the tourist. Without realizing it, travelers give their money to the poor, believing that in this way they help them a little.

Additional positions in the account

Very often, restaurant employees include additional items in the accounts of guests who have placed a large order. It is possible that the waiter simply made a mistake, and therefore introduced the wrong dish. However, most often this is a carefully designed scheme, designed for people who do not burden themselves with checking the invoice for payment of the order.

Awkward passerby

Travelers need to be wary of pickpockets. You can meet them in any city. Most often, these people use busy places to steal money and valuables. Having pushed, having touched or having dirty the tourist, the thief distracts his attention. Thanks to this, an attacker has a chance to discreetly steal other people's pockets.

How to protect yourself from scammers

There are several ways to avoid being trapped by scammers. Every tourist who wants to get exclusively positive emotions from the upcoming vacation should get acquainted with them.

Travelers need to remember the following:

1. Do not engage in attractive or implausible transactions. It is clear that all people want to save. However, because of this, a person runs the risk of spending considerable money on a service or product that he does not need at all. Moreover, in reality they can have a much lower price than stated;

2. The first thing to do upon arrival in another country is to find out its currency. It is advisable to familiarize yourself with all existing denominations and remember the differences between these notes and fakes. It does not hurt to study the local exchange rate. It is strictly forbidden to change money in people on the street. Indeed, this is the easiest way to deceive a tourist by slipping false notes;

3. Fraud types may vary in each region. Therefore, if possible, it is advisable to familiarize yourself with the methods of deception in the specific city in which the traveler plans to go;

4. It is useful to have a bank card with you. As a rule, stolen cash is almost impossible to return. And to block funds on a lost bank card will turn out instantly. Therefore, an attacker will not have a chance to withdraw and spend personal funds of another person;

5. You never need to disseminate personal information about yourself. If a stranger knows passport details, a bank card number and other information about a tourist, he can use them against him.

Always be on the lookout. Otherwise, the long-awaited and wonderful vacation at any time can go bad. Losing vigilance, a tourist runs the risk of becoming a victim of absolutely any scammer who gets in his way.
