At one time the Russians did not know what food supplements are, and sugar and salt were added to meat products to increase the shelf life. At that time, women grumbled that sausages were made of toilet paper, but they still bought and fed their households with it. Today (and never before) there is no toilet paper in the sausage, but there is a whole range of chemical additives to improve its appearance, taste and shelf life. The raw material from which the sausage is made is not meat, but processed low-grade offal and soy. For these reasons, nutritionists strongly recommend not to eat sausages. Especially for those who care about their health. The portal “Women's Opinion” decided to find out whether modern Russians would listen to this opinion and how often they eat purchased sausage.

33% of Russian women answered that they eat sausage several times a month. "Several times a month, usually for breakfast," explained the ladies. It is possible that they would eat sausage every day if there was nothing to replace it with, but since there is a great variety of products now, I would like to try a lot.

27.5% of the weaker women are more likely to eat sausage more often than the previous category of women, namely several times a week. They also prefer sausage for breakfast, but for a change, they simply change varieties, since there are many of them now. "I can’t live without meat products at all, so there is always a sausage in the fridge: smoked and boiled," smiled the ladies.

16.5% of Russians eat sausages very rarely, about two or three times a year. The motivation is simple: women themselves do not love sausage enough to buy it, but they do not refuse to eat at a party or when they set up a homemade holiday table. “I eat only smoked sausage when we serve guests or set the table for the holidays,” the ladies explained their position and added: “I don’t buy home, but at a party or in a catering, if it is in the dish, I will eat, of course ".

12.2% of respondents admitted that they love sausage so much that they eat it every day, again for breakfast. “I can eat all week every day,” some said. “I crack cooked sausage for breakfast every day. I love it very much,” added others.

And only 10.8% of respondents believe that sausage is a real “poison” and never eat it. “It’s better not to eat sausages at all, they now have only one chemistry and soy. Meat is both different: it’s tasty and healthy,” say Russians. Ladies who do not eat meat in any variants belong to this category.

Summing up the survey, it is safe to say that, in spite of the additives, "chemistry" and soy, Russian women still prefer to eat a few slices of delicious sausage for breakfast.

3590 people took part in the survey. Age from 20 to 45 years. From 198 cities of Russia.
