Popular singer Vanessa May seems to have made a firm decision to fulfill her childhood dream. The 34-year-old violinist plans to perform at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi. Vanessa will represent Thailand as part of the ski team. Why Thailand? The explanation is simple - a talented violinist is the owner of dual citizenship. As you know, Vanessa was born in Singapore, her mother is Chinese, her father is Thai.

The artist has long dreamed of professional sports. She has been keen on skis since she was fourteen years old, and for the past few years, May has been working hard at the ski resort Zermatt (Switzerland). Such diligence, of course, causes respect, but there is one thing - to get admission to the February Olympics, Vanessa must take part in five qualifying international competitions. But this fact does not confuse the violinist.

“Usually people are extremely surprised when they find out that I’m seriously involved in skiing,” the British singer says, smiling sweetly, “Everything can be solved and I will try very hard to make my children's fantasies a reality. I do not harbor any special illusions and do not expect to become a winner, but the very fact of getting to the Olympics would be a great happiness for me personally. ”
